Travel soccer is designed for players and parents who are willing to make a higher level of commitment in time, effort, training and competition. Travel soccer is competitive soccer played against teams from other community clubs. Games are played in the Western PA area, as a member of the PA West Soccer Association. Players who have shown an interest and ability greater than most recreational players can benefit from moving to travel soccer.

BCSA Travel Soccer Registration Cost = $110 per season (fall & spring) $220 total

Uniform Cost = approximately $125 (new uniforms are purchased as needed)

Tournament Fees:  These are not mandatory, however most travel teams compete in a tournament at some point.  Fees can include $20 - $30 per player entrance fees, plus the cost of travel and lodging.

Travel soccer players can also play cup/classic soccer at the same time.

Many travel players (especially in the U10 – U14 age group) continue to play recreational soccer on Saturdays.  This option is encouraged, and can be added when registering for travel soccer for $15 per season (fall & spring).

Travel Soccer is meant to be a yearlong commitment, spanning 2 seasons, fall & spring, and includes the following:

  • 1 -2 (90 minute) practices a week per season.

  • The possibility to train and play indoor soccer (coaches decision)

  • 6 – 8 games per season in PA West leagues (most games are Sunday, and do not begin before noon)

  • The willingness to travel to other local clubs to play games. (typically, within an hour’s drive)

  • The possibility of tournament play (coach and team’s decision)

    • Extra fees for tournaments are the responsibility of players attending.
    • Tournaments are not mandatory; however, they are usually part of the soccer experience and provide a fun competitive opportunity for players at this level.
